Texas Time Trials Here We Come! [37:21]

 

On today’s episode, Rick and Caryn are en route to and getting ready for the Texas Time Trials where Rick will attempt to ride 503 miles in 48 hours to qualify for Race Across America. Caryn will be joined by our friend and first time crew member, Dan Pfister, as we prep to support Rick on this journey.

We’re introducing diary segments in this episode where you will get a brief inside look into what Caryn and Rick are thinking and doing leading up to the drive to Texas. We’ll also offer an “everyday item” where we’ll chat about the process of getting ready as we run errands the morning before race day.

For our longer conversation we talk about the Texas Time Trials and the Tejas 500, the course, weather predictions, Rick’s race strategy and what Caryn’s plans are for helping him get across the finish line.
